Training
Suicide awareness education is essential to communities, as it provides resources, tools, and help-seeking strategies for those at-risk for suicide. When students have access to suicide awareness education in school, they are equipped with the resources to seek help for themselves, or others. Further, when adults in the community are trained in suicide awareness and prevention, they are positioned to identify someone in crisis, and take positive action. Project 99 is qualified to offer suicide awareness training for students, school staff, families, and for the community. Additionally, we are certified to provide evidence-based suicide prevention training via the Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Gatekeeper training curriculum. In an effort to provide suicide education during the pandemic, Project 99 offers virtual trainings via the Zoom webinar interface . Please click below to contact us for more information.
Volunteer Opportunities for Youth
It is important that youth are supported in being active participants in their communities. Volunteering can build self-esteem, foster resilience, hone leadership and communication skills, teach time management, and encourage confident decision making. Additionally, volunteerism can provide youth with the satisfaction of giving back to others. Click below to learn more about our volunteer opportunities. We would love for you to be a part of our Project 99 team!

Lights For Life
Our largest mental health/suicide awareness campaign is our Lights for Life 5K. Our goal for this event is to gather the community together to “Bring mental health and suicide out of the dark.” We strive to provide opportunities for the youth to not only participate in the race, but for them to volunteer in all aspects of planning, preparation, and putting on the event. If you are interested in how you can participate or volunteer for the Lights for Life 5K, please click below for more information.
